so, my graphic card has't arrived yet, and i think i will have a problem. Guys on the store where i bought my pc putted a 420w eurotech powersuply and they say it is enought for my ati hd4870. but on ati site they recomend a 500w or 600w power suply. what do you guys think? it would be crap if i had to buy another power suply :S
on those sites they think you have like 3 harddrives a dvd, bluray rewriter, lol and everythin lol .. so its always a bit higher, Except u can chose the components and it calculates the supply needed.
and if it doesnt work.. plug the cable in to the wall as i said :] , dont forget the condom, it protects u from overloading, :] safety first! again lol
and bro, if its really making probs, take the powersupply out of your old pc and use that one for your gfx only, :] you ll have enough power for sure.
my sons pc has only a generic 400watt cheap psu (type that comes free with cheap case) & it runs a 3.4ghz dual core cpu, 2 hard drives & my old 7900gtx... so i think you will be ok, as a good quality psu is many many times better than a generic one.
iirc mines a 600, but it's runnong 5 hard drives, 2 burners, an overclocked Q6600 cpu & a 8800gtx.... & thats on a mid range (35 euro-ish) psu..
lol :] i should run the benchmarks again ,, i ve some new drivers, should try them. lol lol i could overclock my pc a bit , then it will rock on bench marks lol but i ve such a feeling that i ll screw up and burn my stuff so, i ll w8 with it :P except if any of u knows how to do it safe, ^^ i would like to try it with my ram, it seems to be kind of slow lol
btw my powersupply is 800 W or 850, dont remember , i bought it for like 90 euros , but now i can add stuff to my pc and upgrade it as i want :]
btw kam bought a new mouse! :] old broke lol :S
i hope its enough power for your card bro :D if not, you wont give that replacement card back to them lol.....
