just bought a ps3 and am trying to connect in to the internet but i'm having some problems..... i went to the network settings and inserted my IP, Sub-net mask and DNS but when i'm testing the connection an error occurs... something about the DNS -.- but i inserted that crap correctly..

So i would apreciate if any of u could help me...

um, it should be simple plug & play via a wired connection ? try this in order..


switch everything of (modem/router/ps3)

wire it all up.

turn modem on, then router (if separate) then ps3,

that should work...

bear in mind that if you are running through a router, all the cables should be straight, but if it's connect through a pc or switch, you may need twisted line.

problem solved.. thank you oh ogs the wise! all i did was unplug the modem/router lol and plug it back again with the ps3 still on... lol
